After another delicious cafe breakfast we checked out of our place and started the walk down to the train station. After only a few minutes we were sweating as it was already approaching 30 degrees! By the time we got to the station we were dripping. Onto the train for an hour and a half till we arrived at our destination Novi Sad. It was a nice journey through the very fertile agricultural area surrounding Belgrade.
We caught a taxi from the train station instead of a local bus after a taxi driver approached us and said it would be 500 - turns out it was 1000 by the end of the trip. We asked a local how much it should be and she said 300...so ripped off again!
We checked into our apartment and went for a walk to a nice restaurant for lunch. It was stupidly hot, 36, so we didn't do much after lunch, just took a short stroll back to the apartment.
After that I watched two games of euros at various bars while Jackie, who is suffering from some stomachs bug, relaxed a bit in the room.
