Europe Trip Day 47: No Bus Boga

Quite a hectic day.
After brekky we checked out of our hotel and walked to the bus area. We were after a bus to Theth, but according to the local touts there was no such thing. What the taxi drives assured us is that we could take a taxi from Schroder to Koplik, a town about 20 minutes away, and then catch a bus. They assured us there would be multiple buses through the day.
8 euro later we arrive in Koplik to be told by the locals there is not a bus to Theth. What we do is take a taxi from Koplik to a town called Boge, then take a bus from Boge to Theth. So another 15 euro later and we arrive in Boge - obviously there aren't any buses.
So we are stranded in this small mountain town until tomorrow when a bus should roll through in the morning. We ask one of the three guesthouses for a room and it's exorbitant - 20 euro per person and the room is very average. So I set off and walk through the village to see what else is in offer, and it's the same price wherever we go. So I walk back to the guesthouse and we bargain down to 35 euro and put our bags into the room. We then head off to a small restaurant for lunch where it's again expensively priced, they want 10 euro for salad, bread and chips. To put that into perspective we had an awesome, high class italian restaurant meal last night with entrees, mains, drinks and desert for about 13 euro. But we suck it up because what else can we do.
We then head back to the guesthouse to change into our shoes so we can go for a walk, and discover that the room we have for the night is actually the parents room of the family who own the "guesthouse" - complete with clothes in the wardrobe, undergarments in the draws etc. The bed is made but highly likely to have been slept in. Jackie decides we should head elsewhere. We ask for our money back and walk off to one of the other places.
We put our shoes on and walk off up the hill, not getting too far but enjoying the cows and sheep that randomly pass by.

After returning home, this our view from our door.
